More About Matteo
Matteo graduated from his MEng degree with first class honours in June 2022. He has recently completed his master's thesis, researching the computational limitations of numerical models that assess the hydrodynamic effects of tidal barrages in hypertidal estuaries.
Matteo has spent 6 months working as an engineering intern at ARUP Berlin working in the structures design team. During his degree, Matteo has been tutoring civil engineering students online in a range of classes.
Matteo’s tutoring style focuses on empowering the student to understand all the tools that they have at their disposal to solve engineering problems. He deconstructs a topic into the basic concepts in order to create a long term and sustainable base of knowledge for the student.
Matteo can tutor most Civil Engineering topics. He has a particular interest in water, coastal and geotechnical engineering topics. In 2021 Matteo won the British Geotechnical Association (BGA) award achieving the highest grade in geotechnical engineering at the University of Edinburgh.
